Dear Friends of the Persecuted church,

As I'm sure you know, I have travelled many times into Islamic countries that are openly hostile to followers of Jesus Christ. And with each trip I have become more convinced that this is the front line of the spiritual battle in our world today.

This year the holy month of Ramadan fell in September. For secret believers, trying to follow Jesus during Ramadan is especially difficult. With daily religious observances, any refusal to participate is particularly obvious to their Muslim family and friends. And if they reveal the fact that they are Christians, they may face violence, even murder.

But many of the challenges they face are a regular part of life. That's why we must be there with them month after month. When we deliver Bibles to new converts from Islam, these brothers and sisters feel you are standing with them. They know there are fellow believers in another part of the world. And most importantly, as you help them stand strong in their faith, the light of the Gospel shines brightly in places of deep spiritual darkness. The result is that incredible spiritual victories are being won as many Muslims today are coming to faith in Jesus Christ! I know of no greater weapon against radical Islam than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As a result we must be vigilant in our commitment to do all we can to provide the Bibles, training, materials and other crucial resources our brothers and sisters need.
