China Earthquake Appeal

Open Doors' contacts on the ground in China report that the suffering continues for millions as the government has been overwhelmed by the enormity of the devastation. This is especially true for families more distant from the epicenter who have yet to receive aid.

But in the midst of this utter devastation and hopelessness there is a wonderful opportunity to show the love of God through the Persecuted Church. Chinese believers are traveling to remote villages to reach out to suffering families and provide help in their moment of need. They are committed to showing the unconditional love of Christ in the midst of devastation, demonstrating the very essence of what it means to be Christian.

But they need your help. Our brothers and sisters have requested £100,000 to provide essential relief supplies;

Milk powder for babies (£20 per child)
First aid, and antibiotics (£25 per person)
Daily necessities like toiletries, cooking utensils, oil, rice etc.
(£50 per family)
Material to purify water (£75 per family)
Tents for shelter (£100 per tent)

The Bible says "If one part suffers, every part suffers with it..." 1 Corinthians 12:26 (NIV). Please take a moment to pray and give to support our brothers and sisters in China, who irrespective of the persecution they face, have decided to reach out to those suffering as a result of the earthquake.
