Epic journey of faith: Cycling Northern Ireland to Turkey
Open Doors supporter, Stephen Kyle, is doing something amazing for persecuted Christians. On 19 April, he will be setting off from Bangor, Northern Ireland, and cycling over 4,800 miles... to Turkey!
Because he wants to raise money and awareness for persecuted believers around the world.
"The Lord has placed on my heart a love for the persecuted church. Many of them receive help from Open Doors, but this help comes at a financial cost. So I decided to try and raise some much needed funds... I haven't attempted anything approaching this scale before. There'll be many challenges... I'd like prayer for my family who will undoubtedly be anxious whilst I'm away." - Stephen Kyle
Below, you can see maps of Stephen's epic route. You will also be able to follow his progress once he sets off as we'll be reporting regular updates on this webpage and Facebook page. You can also track his journey daily by visiting and following Stephen on Strava (a cycling app and webpage).
- Thank God for Stephen and pray God would be with him as he prepares for the challenge
- That when he sets off, God would protect him throughout his journey
- That Stephen's family would not be too anxious whilst he's away
- That God would bless the money he raises and the persecuted believers who will benefit from it.
