Are you looking for an exciting challenge?
Take part in the Gold Challenge and have your own extraordinary London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics experience wherever you are in the UK.
Choose between 5, 10, 20 or 30 Olympic and Paralympics sports to complete by the end of 2012. You can take part as an individual or as part of a team and raise much needed funds for Open Doors.
All money raised will go towards strengthening Christians in the Arab world.

What is the Gold Challenge?
The Gold Challenge is a unique opportunity to try Olympic and Paralympic Sports that you have always imagined trying, but never had the opportunity... Gold Challenge provides that opportunity!
Olympic Sport Challenge
Learn Olympic or Paralympic sports by taking on a 5, 10, 20 or 30 sport challenge. Choose from 30 Olympic and Paralympic Sports on the Gold Challenge website, then use the 'Sports Finder' to find a local club, coach or event where you can learn your chosen sports between now and December 2012. Complete your challenge by doing at least 3 hours of coaching in each sport or if you are already familiar with a sport take part in a competitive event.
2012 Challenge
There are three possible levels to this challenge: 2012 km, 201.2 km or 20.12 km.
You or your team must cover your chosen distance via one or more of the following sports (for teams this is an aggregated total): running, walking, cycling, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, horse riding, rowing, sailing, windsurfing or wheelchair (track, road or in a gym).
Gold Challenge in a Gym
You or your team must cover a distance of 2012km via one or more of the following sports: running, swimming, cycling, walking, rowing or canoeing. All of these sports can be done on their respective gym equipment equivalents.
How do I get started?
- Register on the Gold Challenge website and select Open Doors as your charity of choice.
- Choose whether to do the challenge on your own or as part of a team.
- Select your Challenge and your fundraising target.
- Start your challenge!
