Great Big Tea Party 2012Summer is coming and it's time for tea! Every summer, around the United Kingdom and Ireland, Great Big Tea Parties take place in homes and gardens, churches and schools. Why? Because of people like Surush. Surush is 9 years old. He's from a Christian family who fled to Iraq from Iran. Since their arrival they've received numerous death threats and Surush has been beaten up at school - by his teacher! He and his sister can’t play outside because they get taunted, beaten up and their toys are stolen. You raise me up!A Great Big Tea Party can help Surush and his family in two ways:
Eddie Lyle, CEO of Open Doors UK & Ireland, says "Our vision is to strengthen Christians in the Arab World to be a light to their nations. We want to mobilise more than 100,000 Christians in the UK and Ireland to pray with them, to let them know they are not alone." Serve your friends - and serve the persecuted churchSo... we'd like to invite you to hold your very own Great Big Tea Party.
