Annual Great Big Tea Party

Summer's just around the corner and the time's coming for Open Doors annual Great Big Tea Party.

However big or small your tea party is, you will be doing something great!

Big or small, a Great Big Tea Party will provide persecuted believers with much needed encouragement and support. Not only through prayer, but through your action and the valuable protection and assistance our Open Doors in-country teams can provide.

The focus of this year's event will be Iran, second on Open Door's list of countries where persecution is the worst. In 2009 in Iran, at least 85 Christians were arrested and a number of house churches closed. Despite this the church is growing and the support you raise will be sent to help oppressed Christians in Iran.

If you need reminding, and we expect you don't, the Great Big Tea Party, happens around the weekend of 4-6 June, when Open Doors supporters hold a tea party to help raise awareness of persecuted Christians, and to raise support that will help them stand strong in the face of the persecution.

Up and down the country, Great Big Tea Parties take place in homes and gardens, churches and schools, village greens or even [whisper it], coffee shops!
