Hope Academy – The Final! One song, One vote, One chance... to shape the nation. For six months, Open Doors and the Saltmine Trust have been scouring the whole of the UK, taking in Bristol, Edinburgh, London, Belfast, Birmingham and Manchester, searching out the best in new Christian musical talent. At seven regional events, our panel of experts have heard hundreds of hopefuls perform and now that search has been whittled down to just 15 finalists. They will perform LIVE at the Hope Academy Final and you will be able to choose for your favourites, and vote for the Hope Academy winners. These finalists have received professional coaching from top Christian artists, TV producers and radio experts, not just honing their basic musical abilities but also in presentation and performance techniques and the challenges of the Persecuted Church. Now they’re ready to compete for a unique prize: the winners will visit Egypt with Open Doors, sharing their music and meeting fellow Christians facing persecution. The winners will also have the chance to make a music video and perform in front of thousands. Come and hear the finalists perform – and make your vote count! Click here to buy your tickets online »
Top row: Diviglio, Joy McIlwrath, Katie Jarman, Jodie Thompson, Phil Barlow "Normally, being a musician, I would have nothing to do with anything that resembles the X-factor etc, but as this was for God I had no problem. After seeing the great causes that both Saltmine and Open Doors were, I felt very privileged to be a part of the Hope Academy." "Hope Academy aims to release talent for the Kingdom of God, communicate hope for the global Church, present the gospel of hope for the future and inspire young people that God has a plan for their lives through Christ." "Hope Academy is a spectacular opportunity to identify a new generation of Christian artist, who use their gifts to the Glory of God. More importantly, we want to provide them with an opportunity to connect with people who have no voice, whose stories have never been told, and who need our support. This fusion of the creative arts and compassion will, we believe, raise the profile of the Persecuted Church which has never been so necessary."
