TOP HAMAS LEADER'S SON CONVERTS TO CHRISTIANITY
The son of a top Hamas leader has converted to Christianity and prays some day his family will also accept Jesus Christ as their savior, according to an Israeli newspaper.
Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheik Hassan Yousef, revealed for the first time in an exclusive interview with Haaretz newspaper that he has left Islam and is now a Christian. CONCERN GROWS FOR IMPRISONED CHINESE CHRISTIAN: OPEN DOORS LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN ON HIS BEHALF
Open Doors are urging their supporters to send a letter to the Chinese Ambassador to request the immediate release of Shi Weihan (37) a Christian bookshop-owner in Beijing who has been in prison since March without proper legal representation or medical attention.

DUTCH COWS AND AUSTRALIAN SHEEP HELP TO REBUILD IRAQ
Dutch cows and Australian sheep are helping to rebuild Iraq. In recent months, blankets, food packages, heaters and kerosene have all been part of Open Doors’ relief programme in northern Iraq, which aims to support and help Christian Iraqi refugees from Baghdad and Mosul. But now cows and sheep are taking over where they have left off.

25,000 GREAT BIG TEA PARTYGOERS POUR OUT THEIR SUPPORT FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS WORLDWIDE
An estimated 25,000 people will pour out their support this weekend as part of Open Doors Great Big Tea Party to raise awareness of Christians suffering around the world as a result of their faith. In homes and churches from Torquay to Edinburgh, Belfast to Felixstowe, on Sunday 8 June, partygoers at over 800 venues will sip tea, eat scones and pledge their support. This initiative is the brainchild of Oxford-based charity Open Doors, which provides training, practical support and encouragement to persecuted Christians in over 45 countries worldwide.

OPEN DOORS URGES CHINA TO HAVE MERCY ON NORTH KOREAN REFUGEES
On Saturday 26 April a protest and prayer vigil arranged by Open Doors took place outside the Chinese Embassy in London to highlight China’s violent repatriation of North Korean refugees. It coincided with similar protests arranged by the North Korean Freedom Coalition taking place in 12 cities, in seven countries around the world.

For the sixth year running North Korea has again been revealed as the most dangerous place on earth in which to be a Christian, easily keeping its top spot due to the malicious and relentless way it represses those who try to express or even just practice a living faith in Christ. This is the key finding of the 2008 World Watch List of the worst 50 nations for persecuting Christians, which is published today by Open Doors, the international charity serving persecuted Christians worldwide.

OPEN DOORS URGES CHRISTIANS TO PROTEST AGAINST CHINA’S POLICY OF REPATRIATING NORTH KOREAN REFUGEES
