Role of Open Doors UK & Ireland

• Open Doors secretly trained 4,000 Christians and gave emergency aid (food, clothing, medicines), to 54,000 Christians in 2008. 
• Thousands of Bibles, books and other materials were distributed.
• Open Doors has formed a network to help North Korean defectors and believers living in China’s border areas. This year, almost 90 North Korean defectors have received medical and food supplies.
• An Open Doors UK & Ireland worker in China is organizing Bible studies for North Korean women who have fled. About 40 women regularly receive Bible study training, child education fees and living expenses.
