A new law restricts the practice of other religions, yet at the same time it also provides freedom to worship and protection against discrimination. Missionaries are allowed into the country as long as they do not evangelise. However, one state is seeing many come to faith in a local revival. Christians are closely watched but are not usually prosecuted by the government unless they have been involved in printing or distributing literature, for which they may be fined and imprisoned.

• Pray that new laws restricting the practice of any religion other than Islam will not be enforced.
• Pray for the distribution of the Scriptures. Some church leaders have reported that it can take five months to get permission to import literature.
