These 30 islands are a popular tourist destination and have enjoyed oil wealth for many years. Since becoming a constitutional monarchy in 2002, there has been more freedom of expression. All citizens are considered Muslims. So while there are few Bahraini believers, there is a significant Christian community among the expatriate workforce, mainly from South Asia. Churches can advertise their services in the English press, but are not allowed to share the Gospel with Muslims.

• Praise God that several churches have been registered by the authorities and are given freedom to worship openly.
• Pray for wisdom for expatriate Christians as they live out their faith.
