One of the major drugs producers in the world, conflict between government forces and insurgent groups in some areas has raged for 40 years. The country has the highest occurrence of kidnappings and murders per person in the world. In these troubled regions, Christian leaders are often targeted as they stand against violence. In recent years, pastors and evangelists have been killed and churches closed by Marxist paramilitary groups who are hostile to Christianity.

• Many believers live in refugee camps. Ask God to provide for them and keep them in good health.
