Political violence is rare in this popular holiday destination, and trade links with the European Union are very strong. Almost all citizens are Muslims; most Christians are expatriate workers. Islamic religious education is a compulsory subject in schools. A number of Christian groups have been denied permission to build new churches. Some foreign missionaries have not had their visas renewed and have been forced to leave. There are very few Tunisian believers.

• Pray for an increase in visas granted to missionaries and that their work among the Muslim community would yield much fruit.
• Pray for strength and protection for those forced to be secret believers.
