Pour Out Your Support for China’s Persecuted Christians

China has the biggest population in the world.
It is the biggest producer of tea.
This year, China is hosting the biggest Olympic Games in history.

Chinese citizens can now choose their own careers, travel abroad, own a car and establish a business. But Christians cannot legally hold a prayer meeting in a private home, share a church service with foreign Christians or interact with foreign Christian organisations. China still bans religious education for children under the age of 18 and limits the publication of Bibles and other religious materials.

Pour out your support for China's persecuted Christians with your own Great Big Tea Party.

Follow these steps before you rush to put the kettle on!

1. Order free resources, including Posters, Invites, Stickers, Leader’s Guide and Great Little Prayer Guides
2. Agree a date and time (we suggest Sunday 8 June)
3. Choose a venue – home, garden, church, etc
4. Give out GREAT BIG TEA PARTY invites
5. Pour out cups of tea for a suggested donation of £2. If you want, offer cake and ask for more money
6. Break the ice with a Great China Tea Quiz. You could hand out copies and give out the answers at the end, or put the questions up around the room for people to do at their own pace
7. Use the event to tell others about Open Doors and raise awareness of escalating persecution and repression of Christians in China
8. Send money back to Open Doors where it will be used to support persecuted Christians throughout the world.
