Area Reps
Could you speak on behalf of Open Doors to churches and small groups in your area? Area Reps help to raise awareness and encourage churches and individuals to walk with persecuted Christians by praying, giving, volunteering and campaigning.
Your part:
- Establish a network of local contacts to reach churches and groups that do not know about Christians who share their faith but not their freedom.
- Encourage churches and groups already supporting Open Doors’ ministry about the difference they make by bringing up-to-date news and praise points.
- Typically arrange and take 2 – 3 meetings per month.
- Attend Area Rep team events and participate in Regional Days.
- Update the office each month with your contacts and activity.
- Participate in a ministry travel trip if finances and opportunities become available.
Our part:
- Access to the very latest news reports and project information from the countries where we are working.
- Essential training on presenting the ministry of Open Doors and how to encourage others in joining with us to make a difference.
- Provision of DVDs, literature, recruitment materials, books – everything you need when out and about.
- Support from your Regional Manager and the ministry team in the Witney office.
- Opportunities to meet with other Area Reps for encouragement and briefing on up-and-coming initiatives.
- Put you in touch with key supporters and volunteers in your area.
- Listen to you as a local voice and spokesperson for your area.
- Reimburse fuel expenses from your speaking engagements.
- Opportunities to develop and engage in other areas of our ministry.
- Administrative and prayer support.
How to apply
We are looking for people from all walks of life with an ability to communicate both publically and on a one-to-one basis. First and foremost you must have a passion for helping persecuted Christians and have a clear leading from God. The ability to deliver talks/presentations is essential.
