There are about as many evangelical Christians in Kenya as in Europe – but in the north-east, Muslims comprise the majority, and Christians face restrictions and harassment due to their faith.
This pressure increased to some extent in 2006, partly inflamed by the Muhammad cartoon furore.
Three missionaries were expelled after several Muslims converted to Christianity.
A Christian radio station was attacked, leaving one person dead and three injured.

- Pray that it will speak out against injustice and support Christians where they are under pressure
- Ask God to bless Open Doors' seminars that give church leaders theological training and help new believers understand true Christian behaviour.
