Trustees – Open Doors UK & Ireland
Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. Open Doors is a Christian charity that is looking to recruit active, practicing Christians to stand in the GAP (give, act, pray) on behalf of persecuted Christians worldwide. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term.
We have an opportunity for three new Trustees who are passionate about our cause to join our Board. Our Board of Trustees use their professional skills and experience to prayerfully support the CEO and Leadership Team of Open Doors through shaping all the key areas of governance, from evaluating performance to ensuring our legal, financial, and reputational obligations and expectations are upheld to the highest standards.
You will be able to use your professional skills and experience of charity governance to contribute to the work that we do, to be part of a team that seeks to grow the charity, to support and encourage one another, and uphold the Christian values that we base our identity on.
If you are a Christian* with a passion to strengthen and grow the global church, with particular interest or experience in Advocacy, Legal/Governance and HR/People, then we would love to hear from you.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as female trustees are currently under-represented, we would particularly welcome applications from female applicants. All appointments will be made on merit.
