Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. Open Doors is a Christian charity that is looking to recruit active, practicing Christians to stand in the GAP (give, act, pray) on behalf of persecuted Christians worldwide. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term.
We’re looking for a Christian* Youth Development Manager to enable Open Doors UK&I to grow support for the persecuted church as part of the youth team by connecting with young people and building relationships with youth leaders and networks across England and Wales.
You will fulfil a new role in leading the work of the youth team in these nations, aligning with the youth team’s goals and strategy to see young people growing in faith and taking action for their persecuted church family. You will also work closely with the Church Relationship Managers in England and Wales to develop links they already have and support their ongoing strategies.
You will be innovative and creative, contributing to youth resource development; you will have knowledge of youth culture and the challenges Christian young people face, as well as understanding of other Christian youth organisations.
You will also manage relationships with key stakeholders, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working within a fast-paced and changing environment bringing energy and passion to your work.
