Digital persecution projects
In China and other countries, digital persecution is increasing. It means your movements are tracked – not just on the street, but online too. Despite this, courageous Christians like Ko Aung (name changed) continue to take great risks to serve the church.
While China leads the way in digital persecution, intensifying their methods of surveillance through new technology, this kind of persecution is spreading elsewhere too. Ko Aung was forced to flee his homeland, Myanmar, and take refuge in another country because of his ministry to tribal believers.
“I am looking for a chance to go back to my village and reunite with my family. But with all the things happening in the country, I will have to wait. I keep in touch with my family members through mobile, and I advise them to clear their phones after each call and message,” he says.
Though there are ups and downs, God is comforting and strengthening Ko Aung’s heart. Through your support, Open Doors partners have been able to help him to settle in a safe place and have been journeying with him.
He says, “Thank you for supporting me through your prayers till today. Pray that God will help me have a prayerful life and that I will be able to listen to Him during my quiet time. Pray for me that I will be able to understand what God wants me to do on my journey.”
