World Watch List top 10 country projects

It’s difficult to imagine what life is like as a North Korean Christian. In January 2024, the publication of the World Watch List showed that North Korea was, once again, the country where Christians face the most extreme persecution. If believers’ secret faith is discovered, they face death or lifelong imprisonment.

And yet God is on the move! His church is growing, and there is clearly hunger for God’s Word. One way your prayers and gifts are helping that Word spread is via underground radio broadcasts.

“I listen to the radio when I can,” says Ji Ho*, a secret believer in North Korea, whose story we shared in January 2024. “The air delivers the Words of my Father. I need them to live my life. They tell me what the Lord has done for us and who I am in Christ. They give me strength, hope and courage to serve God, even if I am also at risk of being arrested.”
