In 1955, Brother Andrew went on a trip to Poland that would end up changing his life – and those of millions worldwide.
Having witnessed a desperate need for support and prayer – and feeling a call to ‘strengthen what remains and is about to die’ (Revelation 3:2) – he began smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain to Christians suffering for their faith.
And so began the work of Open Doors, which today reaches persecuted Christians in more than 60 countries with practical, spiritual and emotional support.
“May we never get tired, bored or discouraged as long as so many in our suffering world still depend on us for our support,” said Brother Andrew.
We thank God for his extraordinary example and legacy. Your prayers and gifts enable that vision to continue to grow, to meet the rising needs of our persecuted family.
