GREAT NORTH RUN 10TH SEPTEMBER 2017

Not content with completing a Muskathlon in Lebanon earlier this year, Adrian Smith decided to pick up his running shoes again as he took part in the Great North Run on behalf of Open Doors.  The event is the largest half marathon in the world with around 57,000 entrants from 130 countries.  Inspired by his time in Lebanon Adrian chose to raise funds specifically for children.

"TRAINING SEEMS A SMALL THING COMPARED TO WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING. I WILL BE WEARING A RUNNING SHIRT WHICH SAYS ON THE BACK 'RUN FOR THEIR LIVES'. I PLAN TO REMEMBER THIS WHEN I THINK THAT TRAINING/RUNNING FEELS TOUGH"
