Encounter the persecuted church at New Wine

New Wine

We hope you’re enjoying your time at New Wine! We’re thrilled to be at the event to talk about our persecuted family, and we’re particularly keen to ask people a question…

What are the top ten countries where it’s hardest to follow Jesus?

If you know the answer, or you’d like to have a go at guessing the ten countries, come to our stand in the Resource Hub and take the ‘Top 10 Quiz’. If you’re right, you could be in with a shout of getting a prize!

Whether you want to take the quiz or simply want to have a chat, our team would love to meet you and tell you about the vital role you can play in helping our persecuted brothers and sisters stand strong in their faith.

And that’s not all, because there are other ways to engage with our persecuted family at New Wine…

"Nobody said it was easy"

If you’re a Coldplay fan, these words will certainly ring a bell! Yes, they come from their song ‘The Scientist’, but they also highlight something Jesus was pretty clear about – that following Him wouldn’t always be easy. At these sofa sessions, you can hear stories of persecuted Christians who are standing firm in their faith despite it being far from easy. Get ready for your faith to be inspired!

United A: Monday 25 July, 9-9.30pm, Resource Hub
United B: Saturday 30 July, 2-2.30pm, Resource Hub

Secret church

Would you like to sample what life is sometimes like for our persecuted family? An astonishing 1 in 7 Christians suffer persecution for their faith, with many of them risking their freedom and lives to meet together to worship Jesus. Secret Church is a space to encounter more of God through prayer and worship in a context unfamiliar to us but familiar to the persecuted church.

United A: Monday 25 July, 10-11pm
United B: Sunday 31 July, 10-11pm
