In 1955, Brother Andrew, the founder of Open Doors, said 'Yes' to God and risked everything to serve persecuted Christians.

Over 60 years on, millions of Christians around the world continue to take the risk of saying 'Yes' to God. For some, it will cost everything. Every year thousands of Christians are killed for their faith, and millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ continue to face attack and discrimination every day.

But your support and prayers can enable Open Doors workers and partners to provide practical and spiritual care for believers who face persecution, such as emergency aid, scholarships for children, micro-loans to start small businesses, trauma care, training for church leaders and Bibles.

Pastor Edward, one of our key local partners in Damascus, Syria, says, "We are very thankful that Open Doors combines not just relief and humanitarian work but also spiritual impact. And also they actually follow up with prayer: this is amazingly important for us. [Also] Open Doors gives voice to Christians in the area, which is really so helpful."

Pastor Edward has chosen to stay in Syria to serve his community, despite the dangers he faces from both the civil war and Islamic extremists. You can stand with courageous Christians like him by praying, giving and speaking out – and we can help you as you do. We'll send you inspiring updates on the impact of your support and further actions you can take.

My Step of Yes! I commit to pray, give and speak out to support my persecuted family.
