In 1955, Brother Andrew said "Yes" to God and risked everything to serve persecuted Christians.
Over 60 years on, millions of Christians around the world continue to take the risk of saying ‘Yes’ to God. For some, it will cost everything. In 2015, over 7,000 Christians were killed for faith related reasons, and millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ continue to face attack and discrimination every day.
But your support and prayers are enabling Open Doors workers and partners to provide practical and spiritual care for the victims of persecution, such as emergency aid, scholarships for children, micro-loans to start small businesses, trauma care, training for church leaders and Bibles.
One secret believer from a country where faith in Christ is completely illegal told us: “This period of suffering has been going on too long, but we are encouraged to go forward to our goal in Christ every day. Why? We have the prayers and support from believers around the world.”
The Step of Yes
Every £36 (€49) could equip a rapid response team of local volunteers for three weeks. This team will help provide vital aid such as food, medical care and legal aid for the victims of persecution and their families.
As you begin your journey with your persecuted church family, we’ll help you by sending you regular prayer resources. We'll also send you a free copy of God's Smuggler, Brother Andrew's best-selling book, to inspire you as you say 'Yes' to God.
My Step of Yes! I commit to pray, give and speak out to support my persecuted family.
