Susanna Koh keeps Christmas all year round in honour of missing husband

Thank you for your faithful prayers for missing Malaysian pastor Raymond Koh and his family. Christmastime is especially difficult for them, but Raymond’s wife, Susanna, still knows God’s presence with them.

It’s been nearly four years since Pastor Raymond Koh was abducted in broad daylight by Malaysian secret police. But his wife, Susanna, has not given up hope. She and her family are continuing to search for answers about her husband’s abduction.  

In a recent online interview, Susanna shared that festive seasons without Pastor Raymond are especially difficult. “His birthday has just passed,” she said. “Christmas is coming, so is Chinese New Year early next year. It is hard to celebrate without him.” 

But one of the things that helps her cope is upholding some of the traditions Raymond loved at home. “Raymond always loved Christmas, so we have Christmas in our house all year round!” she said, pointing toward the Christmas tree in her home. These little traditions help to keep the joy in her heart, despite the difficult circumstances.
