This map is based on our annual World Watch List which ranks countries by the intensity of persecution that Christians face for actively pursuing their faith around the world. The top 50 countries are categorised as indicated by the colour coding shown above. You can download the latest World Watch List Map in (PDF format 1Mb).

The top 50 countries are also listed below in order of severity. Some face physical violence and death; others contend with unjust imprisonment, denial of religious liberties such as the rights to worship and share one's faith, and discrimination in employment and education.
