- Do you have a heart for building meaningful relationships with churches and inspiring them to stand with persecuted Christians?
- Are you an engaging communicator who enjoys equipping church leaders, developing volunteers and growing strategic partnerships?
Open Doors is a Christian charity that is looking to recruit active, practicing Christians to stand in the GAP (give, act, pray) on behalf of persecuted Christians worldwide. Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term.
As a Church Relations Developer, you will play a key role in strengthening Open Doors’ relationships with churches, church leaders and volunteers across your assigned region. You will develop and manage a portfolio of church partnerships, speaking regularly in churches, prayer groups and regional gatherings, helping congregations understand the reality of the persecuted church and inspiring them to pray, give and speak out. Through building trusted relationships and identifying new opportunities, you will help grow awareness of Open Doors and increase long-term engagement with our ministry.
Working closely with the Church Engagement Team, you will also recruit, equip and encourage a network of volunteers, ensuring they feel supported, valued and confident in representing Open Doors. Alongside this, you will support your Regional Lead in developing relationships with key church networks and denominations, helping to extend Open Doors’ reach and influence within your region. This is a highly relational role that combines public speaking, strategic relationship management, volunteer development and partnership building, with regular travel throughout your region and occasional overseas travel with church leaders.
You will have the opportunity to use your God-given character and talents to contribute to the work of Open Doors and to work with integrity and with purpose. We offer a flexible role with a good work-life balance, huge job satisfaction and employee benefits. You will work with some inspirational people and there are plenty of opportunities to develop your career.
