Tears of thanks in Myanmar

Pastor Joshua has seen God move in profoundly special ways through your support

Despite civil war and persecution, and the devastating earthquake that hit in March 2025, the church in Myanmar is being strengthened and even growing – helped by you.

You might recall Pastor Yang (right) from last summer’s displacement campaign, which focused on believers in Myanmar but extended elsewhere globally. As well as coming alongside his family following repeated displacements, you’ve continued to provide timely support for those under his care. “A woman came with tears and said, ‘Pastor, if I did not receive the food support, I don’t know what will happen in my life,’” the pastor shares.

Many of you also gave generously to a separate emergency appeal for those affected by the earthquake – support that even enabled churches to reach out to their communities with God’s love, opening opportunities to spread the gospel.

“You have brought comfort not only to us Christians, but also to many non-Christians”

Pastor Joshua

“Your presence and your words of encouragement have brought comfort not only to us Christians, but also to many non-Christians,” Pastor Joshua shares. “When you came with your smiling faces, warm handshakes and embraces, you helped them release their trauma and reminded them to smile again. Many believers have grown in faith and strength.”
