“Changing lives, bringing hope”: Your gifts to children in Central Asia
In the anticipation and excitement of the lead up to Christmas, we asked you for prayer as thousands of gifts were distributed to children and their families in different parts of Central Asia. In their own words, these brothers and sisters tell of the impact your generosity had.

Giving gifts, sharing hope – Christmas could be summarised in these words, and this is exactly the effect your generosity brought in the lives of hundreds of children and their families last year. For many Christians, Christmas can be a time of increased vulnerability and hardship – thankfully, no incidents were reported in countries such as Kazakhstan, and many were able to enjoy celebrations in peace.
Over the festive period, local partners met with different church groups to distribute gifts and host celebrations. Such encounters are essential for the church in this part of the world, enabling them to connect with those who have left congregations due to pressure or other reasons, visit orphanages and hospitals, and encourage children from Christian families.
Messages of thanksgiving

Below are only some of the responses from our brothers and sisters – with them, we thank you for your generosity!
“Thanks to you, the children felt cared for and valued.”

“Dear friends, today was truly a remarkable day, and it happened because of your generosity. You helped us gather children from different villages, and despite the cold and the lack of an indoor space, many came and stood outside just to be part of this special moment. For many of these children, this was the first time anyone had brought them gifts and a celebration. They rarely experience joy, love, and attention – but today, thanks to you, they felt cared for and valued.”
“No one ever visits these Muslim communities from other cities or regions, and certainly no one tells them about the birth of Jesus. If you hadn’t made this possible, many children would never have heard the story of Christ’s birth – a story that brings hope in a place where life is harsh and fragile. Here, we lose children almost every day, but we believe that the message of Christmas will bring light and hope to their hearts.”
“You offer hope where there was none.”

“Your support means more than just a holiday for these families – it is a sign that someone cares, that they are not forgotten. Many of these communities have been abandoned by local authorities because they live in disadvantaged areas. Through your kindness, you give children the chance to hear something new and offer hope where there was none.”
“Your generosity is changing lives and bringing hope to those who need it most.”

“Over the past 12 days, we held Christmas gatherings for residents in rural regions facing severe hardships. These were children and adults from impoverished villages who suffer violence and persecution at home, simply because they follow Jesus Christ. Despite humiliation and opposition from relatives, mothers still brought their children to these events because here they find hope, faith and love for Jesus. Thank you for making this possible. Your generosity is changing lives and bringing hope to those who need it most.”
- Give thanks for the many children and families whom God has blessed over the Christmas period
- For continued protection of believers across Central Asia
- That the church in Central Asia would persevere in bold witness to those who do not yet know Jesus as Saviour.
