A letter from Henrietta
“God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)
As you look through the Annual Review for 2025, please know how instrumental you are in enabling these projects and programmes to happen. Your generous giving and your faithful prayers are sustaining our brothers and sisters in the persecuted church in more than 70 countries – this review is just a snapshot of the difference you’re making.
At Open Doors, we are always keen to hear from God and seek His direction. At the end of 2023, I and the leadership team here felt He was telling us three important words: “God will provide”. That has proved true over and over again in the years since, and often that provision has come through your obedience in giving. It is an encouragement and it is a witness. Thank you.
We know that prayer – as Brother Andrew said – is ‘the real battle’. The number of supporters praying regularly for our persecuted family continues to grow and grow, and that is so impactful. Over the course of the year, there were many times when we were able to unite in prayer: for example during the National Week of Prayer in September, on International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church in November, and at the launch of the World Watch List 2025, where more than 100 MPs heard about the persecuted church.
I often think the most memorable parts of my job are when I meet persecuted believers and when I meet Open Doors supporters. I was blessed to do both in 2025, and continue to thank God for the depth of commitment Open Doors supporters have to our worldwide family – and I know the men, women and children I meet from the persecuted church would echo that thanks with great joy. It is an amazing privilege to be part of the body of Christ!
Thank you so much and God bless you,
Henrietta Blyth
